Description

Policosanol is supplied in vegetable capsule form, with 90 capsules per container. Each capsule provides 20 mg of policosanol (from sugar cane), along with 100 mg of artichoke leaf extract, 100 mg of milk thistle extract (fruit/seeds, standardized to 80 mg silymarin flavonoids), 50 mg of alpha lipoic acid and 30 mg of grape seed extract.

The capsule shell is made from vegetable polysaccharide or hypromellose, depending on label version. Other ingredients include maltodextrin, rice flour, magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and silica or silicon dioxide. The label states the product is not manufactured with wheat, gluten, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients, and is produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens; an older label version notes mixed tocopherols from soy via rice maltodextrin, while the current label states no soy ingredients are used.

This product is labeled vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and lactose free.

Policosanol (from Sugar Cane) 20 mg, Artichoke Extract (Cynara scolymus) (Leaf) (min. 2% Caffeoylquinic Acids as Cynarins) 100 mg, Milk Thistle Extract (Silybum marianum) (Fruit/Seeds) (Standardized to 80 mg Silymarin Flavonoids - equivalent 80%) 100 mg, Alpha Lipoic Acid 50 mg, Grape Seed Extract (Vitis vinifera) (Standardized for Polyphenols) 30 mg. Other Ingredients: Vegetable Polysaccharide (capsule), Rice Maltodextrin (contains mixed tocopherols from soy), Rice Flour, Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source) and Silica. NOTE: Current label on nowfoods.com lists updated other ingredients as: Hypromellose (cellulose capsule), Maltodextrin (non-GMO), Rice Flour, Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source) and Silicon Dioxide — with no soy-containing maltodextrin. The unverified text reflects an older label version.

Mandatory information

Take 1 capsule 1 to 2 times daily, preferably with food. Serving size: 1 Veg Capsule. Servings per container: 90.
