Description
Omega 2000 is supplied in softgel form, with 60 softgels per pack. Each daily portion of 2 capsules provides 2000 mg of fish oil (TG 18/12), of which omega-3 acids account for a minimum of 700 mg, including EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) at a minimum of 360 mg and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) at a minimum of 240 mg. Vitamin E is also included, providing 10 mg (83% Nutrient Reference Value) per daily portion.
The ingredients are fish oil (TG 18/12), vitamin E, fish oil, and a shell made from bovine gelatine and glycerol as a humectant, along with DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate. The label states that the product contains fish, and advises consulting a doctor or pharmacist in case of food allergies.
Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart.
DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function.
